Biography

Dr. Fatmah Baothman is an Assistance Professor of Artificial Intelligent (AI) at King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah. She was awarded her PhD in 2003 from University of Huddersfield; School of Engineering and Computing. Her accomplishment led to her appointment in many administrative positions among these are Director of E-learning Researcher Program, Director of educational sector for King Abdullah Economic city, Vice Dean for Admission and registration, General Manager IT Security, Deputy Director for IT Center at KAU. She internationally represented the Saudi Women with MOFA. She was the first President of Women Engineer – Saudi Engineering Society for Western region, and established the first Women IEEE Chapter at KAU, she became the first CISCO Certificated KAU Women and participated in Woman National Technology Strategy with KASCT. Her expertise covers Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cyber Security, e-Learning, Arabic Speech Recognition, Data mining, IOT, industrial technology in IR4.O and technology legislation and policies. She recently established a social channel for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation with more than 5K members and is building an association for AI and Cyber Security. She won funded researches, translated AI book to Arabic, contributed with Articles in AI and Intelligent Cities. She gained several accolades from different ministries, universities, and social organizations.
